15 Cameras, 4 Depots, One Phone: Nexus Freight's Midnight Visibility
Share
Snapshot: Logistics · 4 depots, Delhi–Gurugram–Bhiwandi–Kolkata · 15 cameras · One cloud dashboard
The problem
Nexus Freight Logistics ran four depots on separate, ageing DVR systems — meaning no way to check a loading bay at night without calling someone on site, and no evidence when disputes arose with transporters over damaged or missing loads.
Why rental over buying
Four sites would have meant four DVR systems, four installers, and four maintenance headaches. Rental put all depots on one platform with one invoice — and IT owned none of the hardware risk.
The deployment
15 cameras across 4 depots covering loading bays, entry gates, and storage areas, each depot live within 4 days, all streaming to a single dashboard.
The results
"Managing 15 cameras across 4 depots from my phone at midnight — that's the cloud access Lend'L delivers," says Aditya Kumar, IT Head.
- Around 6 hours a week of physical depot check-ins eliminated — supervisors verify bays from the dashboard instead of driving between sites
- A night-time pilferage attempt at the Bhiwandi loading bay was caught on camera and stopped before the load left the gate
- One monthly rental across all four depots came in well under the cost of buying, installing and maintaining four separate DVR systems
"We stopped managing hardware and started managing visibility — one login, every depot, any hour."
